Dear Mindful Astoria community members,
After much discussion and careful consideration of the COVID19 spread, we have decided to adapt our Wednesday evening gatherings to online only (not in person) events for the next few weeks in an effort to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our community.
We are saddened to have to take this step but feel strongly that it isn’t worth putting you and your loved ones at risk when we can still meet virtually during this unusual time.
For the time being, we will have our online gatherings through the Zoom platform (courtesy of the Interdependence Project and Mindful Astoria teacher Kimberly Brown). You can find more information on how to participate on our Meetup and Facebook pages.
For those unfamiliar with this platform, you can call in using only audio or use your phone or computer to join with video and audio (online or through the free Zoom app), which can help us all feel more connected.
We wish all of you physical and mental health during this time and thank you for your understanding, compassion, and practice. We look forward to continuing to deepen practice and strengthen mindful community with you all.
